Frequently Asked Questions

Is the meal plan family friendly?
100% yes! The meals included are the very meals I feed my whole family. The meals are designed to make enough to feed a family (average 4 people) and can be adjusted according to your family's dietary needs and size.
Does this meal plan fit a certain dietary category?
The meal plan is based on real food: food that comes from an animal or plant and minimally processed, if needed. Every recipe and suggestion in the meal plan calls for real food ingredients that will nourish and sustain your family. We do not focus on one particular diet, such as keto or paleo or gluten-free. Most of the meals are naturally gluten-free, may be adapted to fit a gluten-free dietary need, or include multiple recipe options to meet such dietary needs. Dairy is used in some of the recipes in the meal plan. You may omit cheese or use a nut milk in place of whole milk or dairy-free yogurt. Diary-free alternatives are suggested in many recipes calling for a dairy product. Eggs are very economical and one of the most nutrient-dense foods on the planet, so eggs are utilized in various ways in the meal plan and recipes.
What is your return policy?
Due to the digital, downloadable nature of the meal plan, we do not offer returns on this product. If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, please reach out to [email protected] so we can make things right for you.
How many meals and days are included?
This meal plan is for 7 days, including breakfast, lunch (for both kids and adults), and dinner. Plus, I offer extra snack ideas if snacks are needed during the week. Some of the meals on the plan suggest choosing between different recipe options found within the download (such as which eggs you make, pancakes or waffles, and traditional oatmeal or baked oatmeal). Recipe choices allow for taste and dietary preferences and also allow you to use this meal plan again without the plan feeling repetitive. While the meal plan is a week-long plan, it's designed to be used on a regular basis to add routine and consistency to your meal planning.
Do I need to be a parent with kids in school to use this meal plan?
No, this meal plan is designed to take back to school season into consideration, incorporating a week of lunchbox ideas into the meal plan in a very natural and time-saving way. But you don't need to have kids at home (or in school) to enjoy this plan. This plan is designed for all ages and home setups, from singles to couples to families with children.

In 2013, Kristin started the blog (livesimply.me) as a way to share her family’s journey as they made the transition from an ultra-processed food diet to one of “real food.” The advice she found online felt complicated and impractical for a mom with two littles, so her focus was on simplifying this lifestyle. As Kristin shared her journey, which included recipes and tips, the blog’s following grew. Today, Live Simply is no longer just about Kristin's story. Live Simply is an active and engaged community of readers from all over the world. Live Simply helps families embrace a simplified and practical approach to healthy living via the blog, email, social media, online courses and books, and the podcast. Live Simply is about saying no to the stress of perfection and saying yes to small steps that lead to a nourished life.
